Poor Women (A Tudor Poem)

A fair maiden just swept away.
Push aside for another.
Even if I gave the best gift a woman could.
I’m just a poor woman swept aside.
For as they say "he blows hot and cold".
He was very hot for me for some time.
I even let myself think it was love.
True love.
Now I’m just a poor woman watching in envy.
Wishing I could be her.
To be in his arms.
Poor, Poor woman…

This is in Anne Boleyn Point view of watching Henry with his mistress, this could also be in the view of Catherine of Aragon or to any of his women
